04 Dec 2009 - Materialise Dental at the EAO in Monaco
The 18th EAO meeting took place in Monaco from September 30 to October 3 2009 and was a huge success with over 3000 participants from many different countries all over the world! The wonderful surroundings of the Principality of Monaco also contributed to the nice atmosphere and gave participants the opportunity to combine business with pleasure.
3D Digital Dentistry meets 3D Digital Art
The Materialise Dental theme for the conference was “3D Digital Dentistry meets 3D Digital Art”, the many design lamps at the booth illustrated that theme and attracted a lot of interest. The technology used to build these lamps is fundamentally the same technology that is used to build the Materialise Dental SurgiGuide® drill guides. This technology allows for great precision and an extraordinary esthetic result, which is exactly what you are looking for in implant dentistry as well.
Corporate forum
As a Gold Sponsor, Materialise Dental held its corporate forum on Friday evening 2 October, and focused on the topic “Integrating 3D Digital Dentistry into your practice”. Distinguished lecturers such as Mithridade Davarpanah from Paris, France, Alvaro Farnós Visedo, from Murcia, Spain and Scott Ganz from Fort Lee, NJ, US showed the interested audience how they have integrated the SimPlant® technology into their practice and how it has helped them deliver an outstanding service to their patients with better results, both esthetically and functionally. The session showed once more that Materialise Dental’s philosophy to offer products which are compatible with all possible implant brands and scanners currently on the market is highly appreciated in the day to day work of the implant professionals.
Expert sessions
As always, Materialise Dental also offered some very interesting expert sessions at the booth, throughout the whole conference. Materialise Dental professionals together with the above-mentioned speakers and other experienced clinicians such as Rasmy Shahnavaz from Stockholm, Sweden and José Carlos Moreno from Badajoz, Spain gave interesting presentations on a variety of topics. As usual, these informal sessions created the perfect environment to ask questions and to exchange experiences amongst computer guided implant dentistry specialists.
