Materials for prototype manufacturing
- Poly1500
PP-like material comparable to engineering plastics; suited for rigid, functional prototypes; large range of applications (e.g. automotive components, electronic housings, medical products,...) - TuskXC2700T/Tusk2700W
Tusk2700 is suited for strong, water-resistant prototypes with ABS- and PBT-like specifications (e.g. parts for water flow analysis, wind tunnel testing,...) - Tusk SolidGrey3000
The world’s first stereolithography material that combines a high degree of stiffness with high impact resistance, and it is available exclusively at Materialise. Parts built with this material are not only robust, but highly functional as well, allowing them to be used in a wide variety of applications - Flex70B
Flex resins are extremely flexible rubber-like materials, suited for automotive and mechanical applications (e.g. respirator masks, catheters, sealings, cushionpads,...) - NeXt
NeXt is an extremely durable resin, suited for very accurate parts with high feature detail, for tough, complex parts with good moisture resistance and thermal properties. NeXt is ideal for functional end-use performance parts like snap-fit designs, impellers, duct work, connectors, automotive housings, dashboard assemblies, etc. - Protogen White
Protogen White is suited for general purpose applications with ABS-like specifications and ideal for markets that demand accurate RTV patterns, durable concept models, highly accurate parts. - Xtreme
Xtreme has good all round properties including a high impact strength, a high elongation at break and excellent surface quality. Xtreme is ideal for tough enclosures, snap fit assemblies and replacing CNC machined parts. - NanoTool
NanoTool produces strong, stiff, high temperature resistant parts, suited for wind tunnel tests for aerospace and automotive applications. It exhibits superior sidewall quality, along with excellent detail resolution which makes it for instance ideal for metal plating purposes. - WaterClear
Prototype parts that require fully neutral transparency. This WaterClear material has lower mechanical properties than TuskXC2700T.
- Poly1500
The first Mammoth models were built in Poly1500, a resin perfectly suited for rigid, functional, large components. - TuskXC2700T/Tusk2700W
It is a strong, rigid resin that retains properties over a variety of environmental conditions. Since many of the properties match those of extrusion grade Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) and transparent grade Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), two common plastics used in manufacturing, Tusk2700 has proven to be very suitable for numerous automotive applications.
- Protogen White
Protogen White is suited for general purpose applications with ABS-like specifications and ideal for markets that demand accurate RTV patterns, durable models, highly accurate parts.
- Poly1500
Poly1500 combines stiffness and toughness. This PP-like material, comparable to engineering plastics is especially useful in applications where durability and robustness are critical requirements (e.g. automotive components, electronic housings, medical products,...)
- Tusk2700W
Tusk2700W is the material by excellence for parts with ABS-like specifications. The Next Day models are functional parts with a high resistance. - Protogen White
Protogen White is suited for general purpose applications with ABS-like specifications and ideal for markets that demand accurate RTV patterns, durable concept models, highly accurate parts.
- Objet VeroWhitePlus is a general-purpose resin and has a white colour offering enhanced mechanical properties and the ability to withstand bending.
- Objet TangoBlackPlus is a flexible rubber-like resin, offering exceptional elongation at break, making it suitable for prototypes of rubber components like seals, non-slip surfaces, etc.
- Composite materials with preset combinations of mechanical properties.

More about PolyJet
- Polyamide (PA)
The powder, being a solid material, has the attractive feature of being self-supporting for the generated product sections. This makes supports (typical for stereolithography) redundant. The polyamide material allows the production of fully functional prototypes with high mechanical and thermal resistance. - Glass filled polyamide (PA-GF)
The use of PA powder filled with glass particles (PA-GF) has a much higher thermal resistance and is typically used in functional tests with high thermal loads. - Alumide
Alumide is a blend of aluminium powders and PA powder, which allows metallic-looking, non-porous components to be machined easily and is resistant to high temperatures.
More about Selective Laser Sintering
zp®131
zp 131 is a multi-purpose material that delivers the toughest parts, the best resolution and great colour accuracy. It is perfect for fit and functional testing.
zp®150
For tough parts with excellent colour accuracy
- ABS
An ABS prototype has up to 80% of the strength of injection moulded ABS meaning that it is extremely suitable for functional applications. - ABSi
ABSi is an ABS type with high impact strength. The semi-translucent material used to build the FDM parts is USP Class VI approved. - ABS-ESD7
ABS-ESD7 is a durable and Electrostatic dissipative material suited for End-use components, Electronic products, Industrial equipment and Jigs and fixtures for assembly of electronic components. - PC-ABS
PC-ABS is a blend of polycarbonate and ABS plastic which combines the strength of PC with the flexibility of ABS. - PC-ISO
PC-ISO blends are widely used throughout packaging and medical device manufactures. The PC-ISO material used to build the FDM parts is USP Class VI approved and also ISO 10993-1 rated. - ULTEM 9085TM is a pioneering thermoplastic that is strong, lightweight and flame retardant (UL 94-V0 rated). The ULTEM 9085TM material opens up new opportunities for the direct additive manufacturing of production grade components.
- Suitable mould materials for Rapid Tooling: aluminium & P20-steel.
